Faced with the tensions observed in recent days in the supply of fuel, the President of the Republic, Head of State, Brice Clotaire OLIGUI NGUEMA, has brought together the main players in the oil supply and the operators involved in the transport and distribution of petroleum products.

This working session, held in the presence of the Minister of State for Transport, Mr Ulrich MANFOUMBI MANFOUMBI, the Minister for Petroleum, Mr Clotaire KONDJA and the Minister for the Economy, Mr Thierry MINKO, aimed to draw up a precise diagnosis of the situation, to identify the difficulties affecting the supply chain and to adopt the measures necessary for the rapid and sustainable restoration of normal fuel distribution.

In the course of the exchanges, the Head of State stressed the need for a coordinated mobilisation of all actors, from the transport of petroleum products to their storage, to their distribution in service stations.

For the President of the Republic, each link in the chain must fully assume its responsibilities in order to ensure the regular availability of fuel, both in the Grand Libreville and throughout the national territory.

This mobilisation has a dual objective of restoring fluid supply and reassuring the population, while ensuring the necessary security conditions at the service stations.

In a context marked by a high influx at certain points of distribution, the authorities therefore call on users to avoid any haste or behaviour that might compromise their safety or that of others. Since petroleum products are highly flammable, strict compliance with safety regulations remains imperative.

The various actors in the sector, for their part, presented to the Head of State the measures taken to strengthen supply and encourage a gradual return to regular distribution.

By bringing together all stakeholders directly, the President of the Republic wanted to give a strong impetus to the resolution of this situation, which directly affects the daily lives of the population, mobility and economic activity.

To this end, the Head of State asked the officials concerned to give priority to efficiency, coordination and speed in the implementation of the agreed solutions.

All of this should allow each user normal access to the fuel under regular and secure conditions and ensure a sustainable return to normal.

In the face of this situation, the President of the Republic places every actor in front of his responsibilities, with a demand for rapid, reliable and lasting results at the service of the people.
